Ben Doebler

Ben was born and raised in Eastern Tennessee, where he met and married his wife Amanda in 2006. While in Tennessee they welcomed their four children, Wyatt, Graham, Ellianna, and Weston before moving to Oregon in 2015 to assist with a church plant in Portland.

As a lay member of the church plant team, the Lord opened a door for Ben to start up a local business to financially support his family. This endeavor has grown from his garage to now employing 30 people. During the 4 years on the church team, Ben led small group bible studies and taught children’s classes on Sunday mornings.

In 2019, the Lord moved Ben and his family to join the ministry at GTBC. In addition to recently joining the elder team at GTBC, Ben serves in assisting leading worship on Sunday mornings and teaching adult Sunday School classes.

Apart from reading the Word, Ben enjoys reading and listening to sermons from John MacArthur, Alistair Begg, and Steve Lawson. One of his favorite passages of Scripture is Colossians 1.

During his free time, Ben is actively playing sports with kids, strumming the guitar, singing with his wife, and serving the church as needs arise.
